Service Description

Amanda has multiple spots open for poets who want to work with her independently. This is great for beginning poets who haven’t published very much and would benefit from weekly guided reading, detailed feedback on poems, craft conversations, and how to build as a performing spoken word poet. Amanda loves working with poets at any stage and each course of study is made collaboratively. Being a mentor and creating radical, and informal learning spaces for the intergenerational exchange of poetic knowledge is an integral part of Amanda's pedagogy and poetic practice. She has been a mentor to poets at Mighty Writers Philadelphia as well as through her numerous tours globally through her, The Poet Speaks Workshop, in places like: Nigeria, Nepal, Malta and the USA , just to name a few. She is especially excited to work with young poets.
